|Youth and Art Education
The Israel Museum, Jerusalem, is divided into four wings: Archaeology, Judaica and Jewish Ethnography, Fine Art - and our Youth Wing for Museum Education.
The Youth Wing is a world leader in its field, and among the largest found anywhere. Professional museum educators, who come from abroad to study the Israel Museum’s well-earned know-how, discover a special place that combines learning, play and fun into one rich experience.
The 80-some teachers, instructors, lecturers and administrators that staff the Youth Wing have a common vision:
To stimulate discussion and create cultural events based on the museum’s collection of original art.
To cultivate values of curiosity, creativity, questioning and knowledge, and to make a contribution to society in the fields of culture and art.
To seek original ways of attracting the public to the museum, with the focus on the community, and sensitivity to the changing needs of a multicultural and multi-generational society.
