Access for the Disabled
Much of the Israel Museum is wheelchair-accessible, and an ongoing renovation program continues to improve access for the disabled. Wheelchair-accessible places include the entrance pavilion, the Shrine of the Book, and the Model of Jerusalem in the Second Temple Period.
It is currently not possible to reach the Youth Wing in a wheelchair because of the progress of the campus construction. We apologize for this temporary inconvenience.
Available in the entrance plaza of the Museum.
Coat Check and Folding Chairs
Coat check services and folding chairs are available in the Youth Wing. Please inquire at the Information Desk for details.
Museum Shop and Cafe
Both the Museum Shop and the Cafe in the Entrance Pavilion are accessible from the street and do not require entrance fee to the Museum. The Museum's shop and cafe are open during its regular hours, and also during the day on Tuesday. The cafe is closed on Saturdays and holidays.
