Israeli Summer at the Israel Museum!

Free entrance for children on Tuesday from 4 pm and on Saturday.

In August: Free entrance for children (except for workshops and groups).

While we move ahead with our comprehensive program for renewing the Israel Museum campus, we invite the public to participate in our full program of exhibitions, and activities in the Weisbord Pavilion, the Shrine of the Book, the Model of Second Temple Jerusalem Complex, the Ruth Youth Wing, and the Billy Rose Art Garden campus renewal program.

While work is underway, our permanent collection galleries are not open to the public. These are exciting times in our Museum, and we wish you an enjoyable visit. Thank you for your continuing participation and support.


Summer in the Youth Wing

Activity Yard: When Grandpa and Grandma
Were Kids | July 22- August 31

Inspired by Israel's 60th anniversary, the Youth Wing activity yard provides a lovely opportunity to connect generations. Grandparents who were children at the time of the founding of the State are invited to create, play, and enjoy a taste of life sixty years ago, together with their grandchildren.

From July 22: Tues 4–7 pm, Fri 10 am – 1 pm
August: Sun–Thurs 10 am – 2:30 pm; Tues also 4–7 pm; Fri 10 am – 1 pm

A Tel Aviv Summer in Jerusalem | July 2, 8 pm

Celebrating the 60th anniversary of the State and upcoming centenary of Tel Aviv

Images, stories, and sounds from the days of Ahuzat Bayit: golden dunes, dreams of a city of gardens, the Herzliya Gymnasium, street life, the opening of the port, and early Hebrew songs about Tel Aviv.

A celebration of wine tasting from the best vineyards in Israel
