Triptychon is a three-year program, in which high school students in grades 10-12, who attend schools which do not offer an art major, can complete their matriculation (bagrut
) in art at the Israel Museum, Jerusalem.
In the program
students learn to observe, discuss, and analyze original works, addressing the styles and works of artists from Israel and abroad.
The students also acquire knowledge and skill in painting, sculpture, photography, and methods of display, trying their hands at constructing their own exhibitions. The Triptychon program features overnight art marathons, art events, and a three-day trip, in which students create art in nature. At the end of the program, students are required to create final projects, which are displayed in the program's end-of-year exhibition in the Museum.
